Branson Nightlife – Bars, Drinking Hot Spots and Hidden Gems
Branson, Mo is a wildly popular mid-west tourist destinations. In fact, many may be surprised that they receive approximately 10 million visitors per year! While Branson is famous for their music shows, Table Rock Lake activities, Silver Dollar City attractions, and mountainous Ozarks scenery they even have more to offer for the traveler who has a variety of interests. Today, we are going to get into the Branson Nightlife scene… From the party goer, to those who are looking for a relaxing stroll along the Taneycomo River, Branson’s best wineries and more. So, let’s get started…
Branson Bars – Country, Rock-N-Roll, to Karaoke
Branson may be known for their country music, they also have many other venues that cater to those who love rock-n-roll, or who like to bring out their inner Elvis and hit the karaoke scene. Whatever your flavor is, here are some of our favorite places to visit.
Cheeky Monkey
If you want to visit a place where you will meet many of the Branson, locals this is the place to be. The owner (Craig) has made a lot of improvements since he took over the bar a half dozen years ago. While, it was a local “hole in the wall” bar that catered to bikers, it is now renovated and with a fun atmosphere from the party goer, to those that would just like to relax after a long day of having a good time visiting all that Branson has to offer.
We love Cheeky Monkey, because the moment you enter the bar you are greeted with a “Welcome to Cheeky Monkey”, from the very friendly staff. Furthermore, they offer you a free “Monkey Shot” upon arrival. Of course, this is entirely optional if you choose to accept the free drink or not, but it certainly does make you feel right at home the moment you step inside.
Tip : For all of the “Pulled Pork” lovers, they frequently have their smoker going outside near the entrance. You can sit out on the deck, or order a pound (or 5) of pulled pork straight from the lmassive smoker.
Live Music at the Cheeky Monkey
Cheeky Monkey has Live Bands on the weekends, which are usually in the genre of classic rock / country / pop hits variety. In addition to the band, they also have pool tables and dart boards located near the back of the bar for you play with your friends, or challenge a local to a match.
Waxy O’Sheas Irish Pub on the Landing
The Branson Landing has several bars that are a lot of fun, but one that stands out is Waxy O’Sheas Irish Pub. They have a wide variety of craft beers (many of the Irish variety), with a full Irish menu, as well as Irish music playing.
If you come into Waxy’s during the evening you may be greeted to the music of a band playing, or karaoke for everyone. You may even see some of the Branson entertainers in the area getting on stage to play some of their favorite tunes.
Tip : Waxy O’Sheas is located in the middle of the Branson Landing. While it is free to park at either end of the landing, there will be a significant amount of walking ahead of you. A great option would be to park in the parking garage located right in the middle of the Landing. For a small parking fee you can park and be very close to Waxy’s as well as close proximity to restaurants, landing, the fountain and outdoor stage where they frequently have Live Events all throughout the season.
Crazy Craig’s Treehouse
If you are looking for a cool vibe, then try Crazy Craig’s Treehouse located in the middle of the Highway 76 strip in Branson. If you want to be right in the middle of the action on the Infamous highway 76 then we suggest Crazy Craig’s Treehouse (Formerly the “Outback Pub”). They have remodeled the inside to resemble like you are in a treehouse with a spiral staircase that takes you upstairs to a second floor with pool tables that also has an entrance to an outdoor deck with another bar to relax outside.
The have Live music outside during the season. If you are looking for a more relaxed atmosphere then downstairs may be more ideal for you. They have booths, tables, and a dinner menu. They food is mostly bar food, but they really do make some delicious panini’s and reuben sandwiches!

Perhaps wine is your flavor of choice? Pair a good wine, with unbelievable outdoor scenery and the combination creates an ambiance of relaxation and beauty in the Ozarks. Additionally, they also have live music often on the back patio that overlooks the hills of the Ozarks. Furthermore, its hidden away from the Branson traffic and is located down a gravel road that is only near a few cafes and a small farmers market.
Visiting Lindwedel Winery is an enjoyable experience because:
